I lost the weight by about 6mo pp, but still have the belly at 14mo pp. Seriously, so many of these celebrities who do photo shoots with six-pack abs are just not "average" America. They workout 4 hours/day with a trainer and have a chef and a f/t nanny. It takes a TON of work to get that belly back. [ Reply | More ]

I assume you had no notice, my dh was laid off there a couple of years back and being laid off wasn't nearly as bad as the way they did it. BTW--he started his own Company and 2 year later Goldman tryed to buy him out. You have to be pretty good to work there but you will be even better w/o them. [ Reply | More ]

we got the pottette (aka potty on the go). comes with liner bags but you can use grocery bags with half a pull up or papertowel or something in the bottom. works great for at certain playgrounds, in the park. if we're near a bathroom we'll use it, but for other times, this works great. comes in a little bag, I keep it in the stroller. I have considered it a coupole times, but would be a huge pay cut, they want people in specialties that do not interest me, and you have to be willing to work mostly in very bad districts in the Bronx and Brooklyn. the ultrasonic pest machines do NOT work. I have seen mice run around happily in my house while I have the machines plugged in :-( we got the snap traps baited w/ PB and put them in areas that are easy for a mouse, but hard for a kid to get too. glue traps did not work, mice could eat the PB w/o getting stuck. sigh. I stayed at the Beach Club w/ a 3 yr old and loved it. They have a great kids pool and a kids waterslide. We stayed in a 1-br suite with a w/d and a full kitchen (not that we used the kitchen often, but it was nice to have). Very easy to walk to Epcot. [ Reply | More ]

Can't remember exactly, but I think $400-450. It's a timeshare, but you can just rent them directly through Disney. DH and I stayed in the bedroom and DD stayed on the pull out in the living room. Having the space definitely made the vacation more enjoyable. [ Reply | More ]

i'm too cheap to stay on. we always stay at the homewood suites which is close to downtown disney. it's cheaper than staying on site and you get a suite, plus free breakfast, plus a cocktail hour with cheapo hors douvers on weeknights (if you're there then.) they have a shuttle to the park which we used some but it wasn't great. was glad to have a car. the teaching fellows program is not at all compatable with family life. You will be placed in an underperforming school, which will likely mean a long commute, you will have a very difficult to teach class, which mean lots of prep time outside of school hours, and you will need to be getting your masters at night and during the summer.
