My DH laid some of the tile in our house, but he had a pro come in and do the underfloor. He said he couldn't get it that smooth on his own. A smooth, strong underpinning is key for tiling. [ Reply | More ]

True dat. The reason those do-it-yourself shows never go back to the bathroom a year later is because those uneven floors are all covered in cracked tiles a year later. They sell self leveling mud which is a good option depending on application. -a dh [ Reply | More ]

he was a mini-lop/holland-lop mix, i think. i got (stole, actually...long story) him from a pet store in colorado. i've moved with him about half a dozen times. it is kind of funny, we lived in this little rented room together when he was a baby. he's been with me through everything. he always adjusted really well, he likes exploring and stuff. poor little guy. some rabbits are so social and full of personality and some are so skittish and only into other rabbits. there's such a range. I am like that also when it comes to pet ownership. People think we are nuts that we take out Abyssinian out to the park to run her. She is so spoiled that whenever we take her into the vet, she tries to get us to adopt any that they have on hand that are homeless. It is a huge responsibility and really great for children to experience. Tell me why you would rather avoid the internship? Is it a yucky firm or group of people to have to work with? that would suck. [ Reply | More ]

she wears a full harness and leash when we take her to the park. She love to run, full speed from tree to tree. After a while she will begin to growl a bit. [ Reply | More ]

I change my mind about #3 all the time as well. I would be perfectly happy with our family the way it is (2 fantastic dds). I think about how travel, space in our apt, school choices all would be simpler if we stay at 2 dc. Dh and I agree that we feel this way and then one of us says, "we should have another" and we're back to square one. I wish both of us felt strongly that we were done. If I felt the way that you describe feeling, I would talk to dh about shelving the third db idea for six months and see how you both feel then. [ Reply | More ]

why does he call the shots in terms of pregnancy when you have to carry the child, birth it, nurse it and then do 80% of the work? If financially it makes sense to stay at 2, stay at 2. You don't want to be resentful for having a 3rd. You can't go back when the bills start piling up and you can't do what you used to becasue you had a 3rd. [ Reply | More ]

You start looking for programs in September. Families First has a list of local preschools if you want to get a jump now (Google it).
